Pittsburgh really is a gem of a city.



Typically, I like to showcase places in West Virginia because I feel like they deserve the love.



But my best friend recently had her bachelorette party in Pittsburgh, and we got to see so many awesome places.



Allegheny Coffee & Tea Exchange is a neat shop with tons of coffee beans, syrups and anything coffee-related you could want.



Tons of barrels line the space, making it smell heavenly.



And, of course, they serve their own drinks.



I mean, peanut butter cup?!



It would be easy to spend half a day here, just smelling all the wonderful coffees.



Snacks, too! Like these tasty-looking cookies.

The drinks are hot, frozen, teas, and more.



I went with a Salted Caramel Latte, because of course. And mmmm! Very silky smooth, not overly caramel-y. But soul satisfyingly delish.

There's usually no contest for pizza when I go home: It's DiCarlo's every time.



Well, except for this time.



Santina's is a pizza place in Follansbee that also tops their pizzas with cheese after the crust and sauce had baked. And, my father suggested it's nearly as good as DiCarlos.



So, we got 20 pieces with extra cheese and mushrooms.The restaurant itself has a few booths that you could dine-in, but I took mine home so by the time I got there, the cheese was lightly melted.

It's very similar, but my heart always belongs to DiCarlos. Have you tried it?

My local coffee go-to growing up was from the local convenience store.



There weren't really a ton of coffee shops in the area - despite many places seemingly advertising so.



So, I was delighted to learn about The Coffee Bean.



Though they do have gambling in the back, the front is a full-fledged coffee shop.



And there are lots of fun drinks available.



I went with a blended Caramello drink.



Which means it's essentially a coffee milkshake.



What's your favorite?

Chester is up in my neck of the woods. Located at the top of the Northern Panhandle, this area is best known for Fiesta and the world's largest teapot.



But there are also some unique restaurants, like Frank's Pastry Shop.



Known for their heart cookies and seasonal pumpkin donuts, they have a little bit of everything!



Pies, pepperoni rolls, donuts, cookies...



These "turtles" had my name written all over them - cookie, caramel, pecans and chocolate.



And, I had to pick up a spinach feta bistro.



These cream horns are also a crowd favorite!

It doesn't hurt that this pastry shop shares its namesake with my father!



Look at that beauty.



And, of course, I have to try the pepperoni rolls wherever I go.



What's your favorite item?

While driving through New Martinsville, my tummy started grumbling around lunch time.

The Original PJ's Pizza was right along the main drive, so pizza sounded perfect.

This place does not have any sit-down dining, so I ordered something small to go: a personal pizza with mushrooms.

And, while in the area, I stopped by the Sistersville Ferry for the first time! So fun.
