Let's hit up just one more coffee shop before we leave Boston.
Revival is a really cool, modern coffee shop that has this large front window, perfect for folks to enjoy the outdoors while being indoors.
Here, I was a bit coffee-ed out, but I still wanted to experience the place.
So, I looked over the pastries and bakery items they had available in the case.
And, I went with the lavender corn muffin. I stowed this in my bag until I got to the airport to have as a snack. I think I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that lavender is something I enjoy smelling, but not necessarily eating. Still, better than any snack I'd find in an airport.
It's hard for me to walk past a chocolate store and NOT go in.
Asheville Chocolate was beckoning me, and who am I to not oblige?
The store has a little bit of everything - so I made my way to the cases and perused.
I always look for milk chocolate, then look for caramel. That's the ultimate for me.
And, in the process, I found bark, truffles and more.
The one I left with, though, was gingerbread caramel chocolate. I mean, yes!
One of my favorite things to do in a new city is just walk down the blog and nibble on snacks as we go. That's what we ended up doing this morning in Cambridge when we ran into Simon's Coffee Shop.
This coffee shop is long and slender, with tables lined along the side and the counter on the opposite.
So, I ordered a simple iced caramel coffee and a toffee cookie.
We hung out here for a bit. I really love hanging out in coffee shops working away while people weave in and out throughout the day.
This was a relaxing place to have a drink, a bite of a cookie (okay maybe the whole thing) and catch up with your friend.
Until I visited Asheville, I had never heard of a gourmet chip company. But they have it all.
These aren't just any regular chips. At The Gourmet Chip Company, they have all sorts of tasty chips - plus paninis.
Think Italian chips with sun-dried tomatoes or Belgian chips with milk chocolate or American chips with gouda.
I went with The Parisian – Kettle Style Chips, White Truffle Spritz, Rosemary & Thyme Encrusted Goat Cheese & Sea Salt. Plus I got a a side of truffle aioli. Yesss.
