Ramp-A-Rama Beer Pairing Dinner

Ramp O Rama DinnerHill & Hollow hosted its "Ramp-A-Rama" Beer Pairing dinner a couple weeks ago, and my good friend Leah and I went to check it out. My motivation was partially for a ramp column I wrote for the Charleston Gazette-Mail and partially because I really like good food.

RAMP-A-RAMA BEER PAIRING DINNER
April 28th & 29th

$40 per person, tax and gratuity not included.

Ramp O Rama Dinner

First Course: Ramp & camel albondigas in smoked banana barbeque, paired with Greenbrier Valley Brewing Devil Anse IPA

Ramp O Rama Dinner

Second Course: Cape Cod littleneck clams steamed in ale with pancetta, cannelloni beans and ramps, paired with Chestnut Brew Works Halleck Pale Ale

Ramp O Rama Dinner

Third Course: Lemongrass-smoked Gardner farms spareribs with ramp-mango mojo, paired with Big Timber Robber Baron IPA

Ramp O Rama Dinner

Fourth Course: Ramp-meyer lemon sorbet with mint-anchovy granita, paired with North End Tavern Roedy’s Red Ale

I really loved the previous ramp dinner I went to with MK, and this one was no different. The spareribs were to die for, and that ramp sorbet is still incredible. I always love trying a little bit of something new, and it pays off -- I can now say I've eaten camel :)
