I've wanted to visit 2nd Street Station in Mullens for quite some time. So, when I was in the area, I was so excited.
The menu features sandwiches, "submarines," platters, burgers, hot dogs and pizza.
The space has local memorabilia on the walls, which is cute.
I ordered the "turkey salad" submarine, which came with cranberry sauce, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo -- all on a deep-fried hoagie roll! This type of sandwich seems popular in the area, so it immediately stood out to me! And it was tasty!
While there, I stopped at Camp Creek State Park.
And Little Beaver State Park!
The State Fair is such a fun time of year. This year's event even featured a new food competition where they offered new foods from nearly a dozen vendors.
And a new pepperoni roll was on the list from Zul's, so I had to try it. I got it with hot pepper cheese! And, of course, a Ben & Ellen's donut!

I'm working my way through my list of state parks, and next on the list was Twin Falls.
So, I went for breakfast!
I had a quick breakfast: sausage biscuit, add grape jelly (best combo ever, obvi).
How cute is this local glass?
A side of yogurt with granola hit the spot.
And, take a quick little hike down to these historic homes for an iconic view!
The West Virginia State Honey Festival happened this past weekend in Parkersburg.
I got some honey ice cream!
Oh, and guess what else.
I discovered that DiCarlo's has a food truck.
So of course I had to get a slice.
Have you ever been to an alpaca-themed coffee shop?
If you haven't, you need to get yourself to Top Knot Coffee in Oak Hill.
The owners raise alpacas and have some related products in the shop.
They event have a "paccacino," which is simply their cute take on a cappuccino. And, of course, I had to try it.
And do some shopping while I waited!
How cute are these?
Plus, they have lots of tasty pastries and other goodies.
If you're looking for a cute gift, quick bite or a tasty coffee, look no further.
Have you been?
Girls Night Out is an annual fundraiser for the local YWCA. It works to eliminate domestic violence, so this big party is for a good cause.
A friend was so kind to gift me two tickets, so Kayla and I got all dolled up (the theme was celestial blue!) last minute to check out this amazing event.
The event consists of live entertainment, silent auctions and tons of local food from area restaurants.
Mountain Pie Company On The River, Ichiban Pan-Asian Cuisine, Bridge Road Bistro, The Chop House Charleston, Edgewood Country Club, Adelphia Sports Bar & Grille, Nosh Catering & Carryout, Edible Arrangements, Little Caesars, Tidewater Grill, Baskin-Robbins, Gonzoburger were all in attendance. The pretzels are from Gonzoburger!
Here's Perry's beautiful photo!
Lobster bisque from The Chop House.
Have you been to this event? What was your favorite theme?
Little Red Hen Bakery has been on my to-try list ever since I heard they have great pepperoni rolls.
That's always a quick way to rise to the top of my list!
This Fairmont bakery is not necessarily small, but they sure are mighty.
They had all sorts of pastries and freshly baked breads - even later into the afternoon, which was when I was able to visit.
The country chic decor is so cute.
Here's a look at the fluffy little pepperoni roll.
There's sliced pepperoni stuffed in there! Have you tried it?
The West Virginia Cupcake Festival was held this past weekend.
And, of course I had to go check out all the fun stuff!
These are six different cupcakes from six different shops: smores, unicorn, poop emoji, chicken & waffles, mermaid and a bowtie.
