Recently, I saw "Almost Heaven Pepperoni Rolls" popping up across Facebook. i had not heard of them or tried them before, but I know I needed to try them out.

Based in Mt. Nebo, this cottage business serves "gourmet pepperoni rolls filled with marinara sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese, with a garlic buttery crust."

They have a few different versions available, which was really exciting! The "Original" consists of the buttery garlic roll stuff with pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce.

The "Ramp Roll" is the buttery garlic roll stuff with pepperoni, pepper jack cheese, sauteed ramps and marinara sauce.

The "New Yorker" is the buttery garlic roll stuff with pepperoni, mozzarella, cheese, banana peppers, sauteed white onions, marinara sauce and anchovies -- the last is optional! I got one with and one without.

The "Kickin Chicken" is the buttery garlic roll stuffed with mozzarella cheese, buffalo chicken, pepperoni and ranch.

The "Coal Miner" is the buttery garlic roll stuff with sauteed white onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, pepperoni, marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Honestly, each of these were so good! The roll itself is good, though.I would recommend once you get them to repackage them outside the foil. They can get soggy after a while. But, it's fun to have a pepperoni roll filled with so many veggies or other flavors. Check it out

The Brownstone Mill looks almost as if it's been plucked from an earlier time and plopped right down outside of Summersville.

This general store is painted a beautiful antique blue and has picnic tables spread around the area near a small pond.

Inside, there's a small room with an upstairs. It's filled with products - some modern, some older.

Downstairs, they also have a small deli where you can order sandwiches.

I made my own sandwich with kettle fried chicken, cheddar cheese, tomato, onion, banana peppers and mayo.

It's a pretty basic sandwich, but the simplicity of it is what I enjoy. It's like a sandwich on white bread I would eat growing up - but maybe kicked up just a notch.

I perused all the goodies downstairs and upstairs, as well.

There were jams, candies, mixes and crackers.

I also picked up a small package of mini buckeyes, which are chocolate and peanut butter morsels if you're not familiar.

I was also excited to see a Yoo-hoo bar? I had no clue they made candy bars, but I remember getting these drinks as a child and loved them.

Also, they even had pepperoni rolls! Not bad.

Overall, a sweet little shop with a small deli. There are some fun things here like old-timey candies and drinks, but also plenty of more modern things like Jelly Belly jellybeans. It's a fun assortment of different products that is fun to get lost in for a few.

Grade: A

There's a bar just outside of Summersville in Mount Nebo that has a tractor outside of it. It's named the Tractor Bar.

GQ magazine published “The Dirty Dozen – Twelve of the Weirdest, Wackiest Bars in America Worth a Road Trip," according to the ABOUT page.

The theme carries inside, with tractor decorations, a gift shop and tractor seats at the bar.

It was quite welcoming, and we sat outside and watched a storm roll in. We munched on breaded mushrooms and cheese sticks while enjoying some domestic brews.

I'm such a sucker for any restaurant that has "Appalachia" in its name. I feel like it's speaking to my soul.

Appalachian Coffee House is a really cute, trendy coffee shop in a new plaza area in Mount Nebo.

The space features this book section. So you can pick up a book to read while at the coffee shop!

The menu features standard hot drinks, specialty drinks, smoothies, and some snacks.

I love their branding!

See that snack bar? Look closer.

Little mini pepperoni rolls! They have one single slice of pepperoni! I had to try one.

And, for coffee, I tried the Mountain Mama - which is a white chocolate mocha with caramel and vanilla shots. MMmm.

Have you been?

Craft Kings is a new-ish restaurant in Mount Nebo, near Summersville, in a new building that is serving up inventive dishes and local craft beer.

The interior of the space has a nice wrap-around bar, but the real gem is outside.

The deck is surrounded by trees and giant umbrellas provide some nice shade.

The menu has some really fun options, like loaded onion crowns, mahi mahi fish tacos and more.

We loved the cute string lights outside too!

Meghan's tacos.

My house salad.

The PB&J Burger! I thought that was unique. There was a peanut sauce and a raspberry sauce, so it wasn't overwhelming. But different!
