If you see a tall building in downtown White Sulphur Springs painted like an Italian flag, you've found Bella Italy.
The restaurant was quiet on the day I visited - which meant the waiter's sole attention was on me.
The menu had some standard dishes, but I was really feeling an Italian hoagie on this day.
It came with cold cuts and cheese. I asked for some fixins, and a whole plate of veggies was delivered to me. Yum.
The Red Oak Grill is a new restaurant in Oak Hill boasting "Fine Appalachian Meals."
The interior was clean and modern, and I had the whole space to myself.
The menu isn't huge, but it covers a variety: sandwiches, steaks, smoked pork, chicken, etc.
I went for the stuffed chicken breast, which was filled with housemade spinach dip and roasted. For sides, I went for mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese.

Stella's is a bright, exciting shop on Hale Street that is still testing out regular hours.
But I caught them on an open day, and my mouth was salivating as soon as I walked in.
It's tough to decide between chocolately or fruity - so I went with both. I went for a caramel flavor and a strawberry gelato.
And then, they topped it with balsamic vinegar for each - and wow. That little bit of salt really brings out the flavor!
Hurricane has an impressive food scene.
From over-the-top milkshakes to bbq, this town has a little bit of everything.
One popular shop also has a lunch counter.
The Hidden Creek Mercantile features locally produced goods, a well as a menu full of sandwiches, smoothies, desserts and more.
The menu at The Merc had quite a few things that caught my eye - like a buffalo chicken quesadilla! - but then I saw the monthly special.
It's a chicken salad melt with swiss cheese and cranberries!
To go with it, I also ordered a "I love my nana" smoothie - with bananas and strawberries.
It came with chips and a pickle.
