Secret Sandwich Society is one of my favorite all-time restaurants in the state, and The Grove is a bar and entertainment venue located above it.
We were here for just a small time, but I wanted to highlight it quickly because it's a cool space!
With foosball, TVs, and local art, this seems like a cool place to hang out!
Have you seen any shows here?
Wood Iron Eatery is a new restaurant in Fayetteville, situated in a beautiful older home just back from the bustling downtown.
These pillows were for sale inside. How cute!
The menu features breakfast and lunch items, as well as coffee.
I ordered at the counter and received my marker - this cute little guy!
So, I went with the AM Hand-Held, which has egg, housemade maple sausage, American cheese, chili aioli, english muffin and pepper jelly.
I'll take any excuse to visit Fayetteville, one of my favorite small towns. Bonus points if it's for food or drink! OR BOTH!
Southside Junction Tap House is a new restaurant and bar in downtown that features a great selection of craft beer, some great tasty bites and darts!
One of my all-time favorite beers is SeaQuench, so I instantly knew I need that.
And with BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos on the menu, this place had my name written all over it.
Mmmm heaven.
Look at that beautiful plate of deliciousness. The pork is slightly sweet, and all that cheese is just perfection.
I have been wanting to try Arrowhead Bike Farm for quite some time.
They have bike rentals, are known for their brats, and have camping.
A New River Gorge gathering point for adventurers of all kinds. Outdoor dining on the deck or in our Biergarten with a variety of fresh local and national craft beer for after your paddling, biking, hiking or climbing adventure. Our campground is conveniently located near the Arrowhead stacked-loop trail system and the Long Point Trail giving you the opportunity to hike or bike right from your campsite into the New River Gorge. We are also ideally located near Kaymoor Top, a premier rock climbing location, and public put-in and take-out for boating on the Lower New River.
I was lucky to attend an event here where I got to taste some delicious tacos, veggie sides and more!
Fayetteville is one of my favorite small towns, and it's filled with so many local businesses.
Sweet T's Bake Shop and Cafe is a small, colorful bakery serving up goodies of all kinds - savory and sweet.
Looking over the bakery case, it was difficult for me to choose amongst all the options.
There are donuts.
And cupcakes.
More cupcakes.
Savory pastry delights.
But of course I had to snag a hefty pepperoni roll, which they heated up for me.
And a cookie!
What's your favorite thing to get?
Firecreek BBQ & Steaks is a new restaurant in Fayetteville serving up bbq classic - with a side of steak.
Firecreek BBQ & Steaks took over the space of the former Dirty Ernie's Rib Pit.
Inside, it's wood everywhere - walls, ceiling, booths.
The menus were placed beneath glass on the table, which was pretty clever.
Hi, Bill!
Pulled pork sandwich on brioche with slaw and a side of twice baked potato.
Big Dam Pizza is a relatively new pizza joint in Fayetteville that is known for, well, some pretty damn big pizza.
The space is not huge - despite the size of the pies - but it wasn't busy.
The restaurant is decorated with images of dams.
The menu features their signature huge slices, as well as some other yummy sounding items - pepperoni rolls, mac & cheese, Big Dam Hotdog, Big Dam Cuban, wings and hummus.
Slice with mushrooms and garlic - easily as big as two slices! Maybe three.
