I'll take any excuse to visit Fayetteville, one of my favorite small towns. Bonus points if it's for food or drink! OR BOTH!
Southside Junction Tap House is a new restaurant and bar in downtown that features a great selection of craft beer, some great tasty bites and darts!

One of my all-time favorite beers is SeaQuench, so I instantly knew I need that.

And with BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos on the menu, this place had my name written all over it.

Mmmm heaven.

Look at that beautiful plate of deliciousness. The pork is slightly sweet, and all that cheese is just perfection.

Located just off the Greenbrier River Trail, Jack Horner's Corner in Seebert offers bikes, floats, and more for those wanting to get out on the river.

And, they're also a great spot to fuel up and fill your tummy.

I got a pizza - which was much larger than I anticipated - with mushrooms. And it. hit. the. spot.

Afterward, there was ice cream! I am always a fan of a swirl.

Fran's Family Restaurant is a small restaurant in Summersville that I came across because they are the only restaurant in the state that carries one West Virginia beer.
Fran's Family Restaurant serves Banning's Beer - and it's the ONLY place that serves it.
Banning's is a West Virginia brewery that's hoping to get into more restaurants in the Summersville area, but for now, Fran's has it all.
I was mostly excited about the beer, but I wanted to try a bite, too. And for some reason, that baked potato was jumping off the menu at me.
I got it with cheese and sour cream. Is this ever a bad combo? Yum!
And the beer! There aren't many styles - black stout was one - but I went with a lighter blonde that I liked.
Have you tried Bannings yet?

I've been to every Custard Stand location in the state, so I was shocked when we passed one in Summersville that I had never seen before.
Despite the rainy day, I knew I had to try this location out! Ice cream was calling my name.
Of course, it was hard to bypass a hotdog with chili this visit. Next time.

I stared at all the flavors for quite some time before ultimately choosing maple.

And that's a small cone! Yum. What's your favorite flavor?
