It's always exciting when a new cuisine comes to town.


In this case, there's a new shop focusing on African foods.


Located in Morgantown, African Foods Regions Services features a wide assortment of foods you won't find at the typical grocery stores.


There is dried fish, plantains, beans and so much more.


It's a really great resource for folks, and I'd love to learn a bit more and make something!

Xuan Fusion Sushi is a pretty small sushi counter in Barboursville.


The restaurant serves sushi rolls, as well as yaki soba and some other dishes like salmon and wraps.


First, I ordered a boba drink.


Then, I went with the Captain Jack Roll - deep fried seaweed out, inside with shrimp, crab meat, cucumber & cream cheese, drizzled with spicy mayo & eel sauce.

If you frequent the Morgantown Farmers Market, you may be familiar with Working H Farms.


Located in Maryland, Working H specializes in naturally raised grass fed beef, pork, and free range poultry and eggs.


They are the only butcher and meat processor locally, so they have a lot to offer the area.


They opened a shop where they provide their meat, as well as local produce.


And Firefly Farms Cheese, which used to be at the market. You can get your fix here now!

In Beckley, there are a few different restaurants I'm still working my way through. One of which that I was able to cross off recently is Kimono Kin.


Kimono Kin has sushi, hibachi, bento boxes, katsu, fusion entrees, curry and more.


It's quite an expansive menu.


We started with cream cheese wontons (always, because they're delicious).


Then, I had a creamy crab roll - which is essentially just a California roll - but creamier.


And for my entree, I went for pad thai.


I can never not order pad thai. And it's always worth it.
