Harpers Ferry is full of cute, delicious restaurants. I still have so many more to explore, but I was excited to finally try the Potomac Gille.
This restaurant has a lovely view overlooking Harpers Ferry. There's just something special about a summertime lunch, and Potomac Grille is perfect for it.
The menu has a little bit of everything - sandwiches, wraps, burgers.
But I went for the crabcake sandwich. Being so close to the ocean in the Eastern Panhandle, there's no better place to get some fresh seafood. Have you been?

How cute is the name Battle Grounds for a coffee shop? Especially in a historic town like Harpers Ferry!
And look at this great outdoor dining.
They serve coffee drinks, as well as some food items.
It was a very early lunch, so I went with a sandwich.
I ordered the Shenandoah, which came with ham, provolone, spinach, red onions, and black raspberry preserves. I'm a sucker for sweet and savory.
Look at that! What's your favorite item?

If you like candy, True Treats in Harpers Ferry needs to be at the top of your must-visit list.
It's more than just a store.
It's like a museum of candy throughout the years.
The candy is arranged by time period - with everything from bugs to turkish delight.
Those hard-to-find favorites? You can get it all here.
And even candy that's mythical! Like Turkish Delight. And, yes, I had to try some.
It's almost like West Virginia's version of Willy Wonka will all the brightly colored treats.
This would be a fun idea to make a gift of a certain time period full of candy for someone.

Coffee is key in any city.
In Harpers Ferry, the go-to coffee shop is The Coffee Mill.
They have a variety of coffee drinks, as well as menu items like salads and sandwiches.
I went for a turtle mocha.
It is made with espresso, steamed milk, chocolate and hazelnut.
And - some shots from Harpers Ferry!

Betty's Restaurant is known for its sausage gravy.
This Shepherdstown breakfast restaurant is cash only, which has prohibited me in the past from checking it out. Until now.
So I had to try the biscuit & sausage gravy. And I also got a pancake - just one! - to balance out the sweet and the savory.
Something about this homestyle meal just makes it so comforting.
What's your favorite dish here?
And, while here I was able to check out the Rumsey Monument.
And this teeny, tiny house!

If you're looking for good tacos in the Eastern Panhandle, look no further than Ortega's Taco Shop.
This small shop serves up a few different kinds of tasty tacos.
They have burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, taco salads and sides.
I got a chicken taco on a crispy shell with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream. And I got a street taco with carne asada, cilantro and onion.
Have you been? What's your favorite taco?

Candace, are you really going to review a Panda Express?
No, no I won't. BUT, it is fun when a new restaurant comes to town - and since there aren't many Panda Express locations in West Virginia, it's good to know there is one here!
I got the sweetfire chicken, honey walnut shrimp and crab rangoons. Mmm Chinese comfort food.
