I recently was able to ride the Durbin Rocket, and the spot where you go to purchase your tickets is adorable.

The whole shop has a great selection of toys, snacks and - wait for it - ice cream.

They had a blueberry flavor that had my name written all over it on a warm summer day.

If there is ice cream in close proximity, I will find it.

That's the case at The Mill Stone Family Restaurant.

It's a lovely sit-down family restaurant. But attached to it, there's an ice cream shop!

Lisa and I made our way back to explore all the sweet treats they offer.

I ended up going with a classic: cookie dough blizzard.

Have you been here?

Kobe Asian Fusion has two locations - one in Charleston and one now in Fayetteville.

The restaurant features Chinese, Japanese, Thai and more entrees.

First, I started with an order of Cream Cheese King Crab Wontons, which came with a sweet chili sauce.

For an entree, I ordered the Kimono Roll, which comes with crab, avocado, and crunchy, topped with crab, tobiko, & spicy mayo.

So, Bridgeport is now home to a new healthy smoothie and sandwich shop: Winnie's.

This trendy shop features a blackboard wall and beautiful white subway tile counterspace.

The menu is quite expansive - and is only growing.

But I wanted to try both a smoothie and a bagel.

First up - the "Sassy Surprise" which is a smoothie with bananas, fresh strawberry yogurt, homemade strawberry puree, honey, and almond milk.

Oh my goodness.

Then, for breakfast, I went with "Winnie's Special" which is a Loaded EGG-in-a-HOLE.

It is an everything bagel with farm-fresh egg, avocado spread, provolone cheese, cracked himalayan salt, cracked pepper, red pepper seeds and extra virgin olive oil.

Wow.

Nana's Pizza and Pie is a Moundsville restaurant that serves up pizzas and ice cream.

The restaurant is cute with a red awning and a dozen or so booths and tables inside.

The counter to the left has a variety of ice cream.

And the counter to the front is where you get your pizza.

I ordered the Nana's pepperoni rolls, which are rolled with cheese and served with sauce.

And I got two scoops of ice cream to go! What a great combo.

Bridgeport is doing such cool stuff - from food to events.

One new development is Koin Coffee & Crepes.

This local coffee shop roasts its own beans and has the perfect accompaniment: crepes.

So I went to check it out and get my tummy full.

The space is really minimal and modern.

The coffee is roasted in-house.

And the crepes are made right in front of you.

I ordered an 8 oz. honey latte, because it looked like their own spin on a traditional latte.

And I also ordered a blueberry, strawberry and nutella crepe to go.

It's tough to think about an even better combo than these two!

The warm and bitter complements the sweet and soft. Perfect breakfast.

I was surprised and excited to see a Vietnamese restaurant in Weirton.
Pho Ha Nam is located where the old Walmart used to be (Weirton looks so different to me now!).
They primarily have pho and banh mi, but I saw pad thai on the menu - which is one of my all-time favorites. So I went with that and a strawberry smoothie boba.
Both are so tasty!
