Chimney Corner Cafe is a fun restaurant that sits in this intersection right before Hawk's Nest.

I've passed it many times, but only recently stopped after checking out the gift shop across the way.

They have plenty of outdoor seating and even a pavilion area which would be perfect for shows.

The menu is simple, but they do have daily specials.

Their daily special on this day was pulled pork french fries. That seemed like a perfect snack.

And, here are some views after I went to Hawk's Nest! Never actually made it to this overlook before!

The tram is unique.

And, I even took a jetboat ride!

Thai is one of my all-time favorite cuisines. There's something about the lightness with bold flavors.

And, Country Thai in Lansing had been on my wish list for quite some time, but I kept missing their open hours.

Fortunately, I caught them while open one day! I parked, walked inside and headed to the left side of the restaurant.

Their menu is not set. Instead, you walk in and see the various dishes the owner has created that day. You can get a plate of everything or pick and choose.

Of course, I got a little bit of everything that day! It included pad thai, spring rolls, a noodle dish, a chicken dish and more.

I would love to go back. What's your favorite thing from here?

Fayetteville is one of my favorite small towns, and it's filled with so many local businesses.

Sweet T's Bake Shop and Cafe is a small, colorful bakery serving up goodies of all kinds - savory and sweet.

Looking over the bakery case, it was difficult for me to choose amongst all the options.

There are donuts.

And cupcakes.

More cupcakes.

Savory pastry delights.

But of course I had to snag a hefty pepperoni roll, which they heated up for me.

And a cookie!

The menu has so many delicious options, but the thing that stood out to me was the Lobster Gratin.

Oddly, a real bad storm blew through, and the power went out! I've never been in a restaurant when it lost power. But, my dish was started, and the chef cooks with gas, so it actually came out just a few minutes later.

Lobster gratin, stuffed with scallops, shrimp and macaroni & cheese. Mm! I took a few delicious bites before venturing home to finish it.
