How can you resist a bakery with a giant chicken out front?
Short answer: You can't.
Ellie's Bakery is really sweet and has so many goodies.
From macarons and scones to coffee and soups, they have a little bit of everything.
I went for a pastry stuffed with kale and feta.
As well as a pear and gorgonzola scone.
And a latte for good measure.
Wow. So good - all of it.

As if I wasn't already over-caffeinated in Providence, I had to visit yet another coffee shop.
Bolt Coffee Company is located in The Deal Hotel and has a super cool trendy interior.
I ordered the "Cafe Miel," which has espresso, steamed milk, and melted honey.
And, maybe a blueberry muffin.
This combination was on point.
Both had rich, deep flavors that complemented each other well.

Next up for my Providence, Rhode Island, adventure was a visit to Seven Stars Bakery.
Oh my goodness, the case was full of all kinds of pastries and baked goods.
Brownies, biscotti, muffins, biscuits...
It was quite a busy little place.
I ordered a maple latte.
And a ginger biscuit.
But honestly, I could've ordered this entire place.
Josh's drink ended up not coming out, and he was rewarded with a "free specialty beverage."
But overall, quite tasty!
My first time visiting Rhode Island! We made a day-trip to Providence to try all the things.
First on the list: Nick's on Broadway.
Nicks on Broadway is a contemporary American restaurant located in the West End of Providence. Nicks specializes in seasonally inspired, locally focused food, put forth humbly with thoughtfulness, passion and honesty.
Kaitlynn ordered some pork belly.
I ordered a cauliflower soup that came with creme fraiche and chargrilled pesto bread.
And, a parfait of house-baked granola, fresh fruit, Narrangansett Creamery yogurt and Aquidneck honey. What's your favorite dish here?
