Got this rainbow bagel with lox cream cheese from the new Bagel Crust Cafe along Beechurst in Morgantown.
So, I just had to try it. It said caramel apple, and it was only around for a limited time, so that made me want it even more. What many folks might not know about me is that I cannot do like ~weird~ manufactured food. I can do frog legs or cow brains, but I can't do purple ketchup or ... apparently a drink that looks like a zombie brain. I pushed past and tried to taste. And.. meh.
HallowEast is Charleston's costume crawl throughout the East End. Eight local bars participated in the event, and when you sign up, you get access to drink specials, as well as a t-shirt and koozie. I thought there was no better way to celebrate 2017 than by dressing up as a pepperoni roll. And handing out pepperoni rolls, of course.
During Mountaineer Week, WVU devoted an entire day to the pepperoni roll! They had mascots, six different eateries participating in a bake-off, and more. And, I was there to sell my book and be a judge! What a sweet gig, right?
