My first experience at Waffle House was fitting because it was in West Virginia. Huntington is home to one of the few Waffle Houses in the state.
So, I got a waffle and a side of hashbrowns - smothered, covered and capped! Onions, cheese and mushrooms.
Not that it's an everyday visit, but definitely something to mark off my list.
When I was at the Capitol Market recently, I learned about the Country Road House and Berries, which is a bed & breakfast with strawberry picking in the Charleston area. And I had a chance to try some of their strawberry jam. Yummy!
