Dodd's Log Cabin Grill had made the 101 list of Most Unique Places To Dine in West Virginia years ago, but I had never made it out this way.
Ellenboro isn't typically on any of my main routes, but recently when I was in the area, I went to check it out!
It has a log cabin theme (shocking, I know), with this cute lil fish guy who holds the salt and pepper.
The menu featured omelettes, french toast, wraps, biscuits and gravy and more for breakfast.
I am so straightforward with my breakfast, and usually get an easy sandwich of some sort.
I got a sausage, egg and cheese bagel here.
And, I got to see Mountwood Park while in the area!
Husson's is a Charleston institution.
If you ask someone from Charleston what their favorite pizza is, they'll likely say Husson's.
And there are a few different locations. Each time I go somewhere, I try to try a new branch.
The South Hills Husson's is actually one of the first ones I tried - it was just pre-blog days. So it was time for a revisit!
Cheesy bread, a person general tso's pizza and Italian sandwich were a perfect sampling of everything!
What's your fav item to get?
Oh, and they have a Ms. Pacman!
The Market in Huntington is one of my favorite new places in town!
Not only do they have some cool shops, there are so many great restaurants - like Navarino Bay!
It's like this modern take on Greek food, and it's unlike other Greek restaurants I've been to.
I went with the Pasta Aglio e Olio - sliced garlic sauteed in olive oil with fettuccine, pepper flakes, lemon and parsley with grilled chicken and feta.
Have you been?
On my way to Beech Fork State Park, I drove passed Hazelett's Triple H Drive Inn.
And, we all know I'm a sucker for a drive in, so I made a mental note to come back.
I actually went inside because it was a bajillion degrees outside.
But the magic of drive ins is that you can eat right from your car!
Look at all these trays just waiting for car windows!
I got two hotdogs with chili, slaw, mustard and onions!
And a strawberry shake brings it all together.
Have you bee?
