Local shops are my favorite.
Especially the ones where you can get a little bit of everything - from paper towels and canned beans to fresh deli cuts and cat litter.
That's Butcher's Black Angus Meat Deli.
The deli focuses on their fresh selection of meat, but you can get just about a little of everything there.
There's also a selection of cold salads - pimento cheese, potato, cole slaw, etc.
Who can pass up fresh pimento cheese? Not me, clearly.

Pho Noodle House is a much-beloved pho spot in Huntington.
The restaurant is quite large, and I took a seat for prime people-watching.
First, I went with an appetizer of crab rangoons.
I just can't help myself.
Then, I ordered "Banh Canh Tom," which is udon noodles with shrimp.
Then, I added some hoisin to make it even tastier.
How do you take your pho?
The Market in Huntington has a new vendor: Dang Good Cinnamon Rolls and Waffles.
This new shop focuses on - you guessed it - cinnamon rolls and waffles.
So you can get cinnamon rolls, but you can also just get the inside (ooey gooey bites) and you can get a cinnamon roll waffle. AND you can get a Monte Cristo on cinnamon roll buns.
For waffles, you them topped with berries and cream, chocolate and cream, or even as a sandwich with turkey, ranch, lettuce and tomato.
So I tried one of each: a cinnamon roll and a waffle with blueberries and whipped cream. Have you been yet?
My dental hygienist was recently talking to me about pepperoni rolls (this is my everyday life) and mentioned a place that I hadn't heard of.
Absolute Pizza, in Campbell's Creek, is not on my normal route so I went out of my way to check it out.
The pizza shop focuses on pizza, of course, but they also have sandwiches, wings, calzones, and - you got it - pepperoni rolls.
So I placed an order for a small pizza - with mushrooms! - and a pepperoni roll.
It was fresh from the oven when I arrived and I returned home to dive in.
Have you been here before?
