Food Thai Thai is a Thai restaurant located in Barboursville.
One of my best friends, Kayla, and her family were stopping through town so I met her for a quick bite to eat.
The restaurant has these really lifelike wax sculptures of food and dessert. I thought they were real!
The menu features noodle dishes, curries and salads.
To start, we ate some spring rolls and a fried pork belly dish.
For my entree, I went with the standard pad thai with shrimp.
What's your favorite dish here?
Buzz Food Service is a local meat and seafood producer who primarily services restaurants and other chefs. Since Buzz is more of a business to business entity, rather than a business to consumer, I didn't really know of them until I became involved with Charleston Restaurant Week.
But if you're from the Kanawha Valley, you might be familiar with them for another reason: Buzz Buttered Steaks. These are apparently a local favorite. So even grocery stores sell these patties with a dab of butter in the center.
And this little story on the back is just hilarious.
Have you tried them?
Barone Bros. Pizza is located off the Mink Shoals exit near the Sleep Inn.
The pizza shop is clustered with q few other shops, but its red exterior stands out. There's a small dining area inside, but I ordered my pizza to go.
A small with mushrooms was a perfect 8" personal pizza.

I love that food truck festivals are becoming a thing.
It's so fun to go to an event where there are a dozen or so places to choose from.
Weirton Food Tuck Festival was held this past weekend.
There were handful of places I wanted to try, but at the top of my list was Steel City Chimneys.
This food truck sells these Hungarian pastries that are wrapped around wooden cylinders and coated in sugar.
They had a few different flavors, and I went with the cookies & cream one.
