Lolli & Pop's Ice Cream Shop is/was a cute little walk-up ice cream shop in Buckhannon. I say "was" because it appears they have sold off their equipment since my visit. So, I'll keep this short and sweet.



The shop, which is essentially a window with a menu outside, had these really cute giant lollipops made of pool noodles that made you feel like you were in Candyland. They sold ice cream treats, including sundaes, cones, shakes, "tsunamis," as well as a variety of food: hot dogs, sandwiches, fried apps, etc.



I opted for some hot pepper cheese bites - one of my absolute favorites - and a cookie dough sundae. I'm not sure a better combination exists.



The cheese bites were not as spicy as I would have preferred, but I still enjoyed them, even if they were closer to a mozzarella stick. And, the cookie dough sundae was delicious. it's like the perks of a blended ice cream dessert (all those mix-in candy pieces) plus a sundae (chocolate and caramel syrups). What's not to like here? It's like summer in a cup.
