Barboursville has a bunch of great places to eat.
Recently, I was in the mood for sushi so I made my way to Shogun Japanese Steakhouse.
While you can opt for the hibachi grill, I perused the sushi menu.
And, I went with the West Virginia roll - crab, cream cheese, shrimp tempura and all the sauces.
And, a Turtle Roll, which was much the same but deep-fried.

Xuan Fusion Sushi is a pretty small sushi counter in Barboursville.
The restaurant serves sushi rolls, as well as yaki soba and some other dishes like salmon and wraps.
First, I ordered a boba drink.
Then, I went with the Captain Jack Roll - deep fried seaweed out, inside with shrimp, crab meat, cucumber & cream cheese, drizzled with spicy mayo & eel sauce.
Oscar's Breakfast, Burgers & Brews moved to a larger location, so I wanted to go check it out.
This restaurant has a cool concept, serving up breakfast, burgers and brews, of course. So, it was perfect when I was driving through the area at breakfast time.
I'm not a typical eggs and bacon girl, so I went for the "Flapjacks" with a side of sausage.
Gotta have that sweet and savory.
Dave's Hot Dogs in the Barboursville Mall serves up, of course, hot dogs but also ice cream!
So I got one with chili, slaw, mustard and onions.
And a milk & cookies milkshake.

The Barboursville Mall has a variety of options in the food court, one of which is China Max Asian Cuisine.
The food court spot has standard Americanized Chinese food offerings: sweet & sour chicken, General Tso's chicken, lo mein, crab rangoons, etc.
You can get a few different offerings (up to three) over steamed rice, fried rice or lo mein.
I went with General Tso's chicken, as well as sweet & sour chicken.
Which is your favorite combo?
The Barboursville Mall is full of food options, from Chick-fil-A to rolled ice cream.
I recently went to do some shopping, and while there, I grabbed a bite to eat.
Cosimos Pizza is a pizza shop that has a number of pizzas available, as well as baked rolls, salads, pasta, and subs.
I ordered a pepperoni roll and a side of pasta salad. It hit the spot. The pepperoni roll had a nice crisp crust on the bottom with tons of oozing cheese. A side of marinara for dipping. And, pasta salad is always one of my favorites.
The Barboursville Mall is one of my favorites - not only because they have an Old Navy, but they have a lot of options in the Food Court that are more local.
One I've tried recently is Hibachi Master, which is made-to-order hibachi food. I went with teriyaki chicken, which came with vegetables and fried rice. Yum! Have you been?
The Metro Valley is home to three different rolled ice cream shops: Kustom Kreme, Scrapers and now Rolled 304.
Located in the Barboursville Mall, Rolled 304 is in the previous yogurt space and offer a number of specialty ice creams, as well as add-ins.
Clearly, I went with s'mores - marshmallow, Hershey's and graham cracker.
It's a bit of a process as they mix everything together, then spread it out thin enough before scraping it up into rolled pieces of ice cream.
It's a novelty - but also tasty.

Food Thai Thai is a Thai restaurant located in Barboursville.
One of my best friends, Kayla, and her family were stopping through town so I met her for a quick bite to eat.
The restaurant has these really lifelike wax sculptures of food and dessert. I thought they were real!
The menu features noodle dishes, curries and salads.
To start, we ate some spring rolls and a fried pork belly dish.
For my entree, I went with the standard pad thai with shrimp.
