Undo's has a few locations in the Ohio Valley, and the last remaining one that I hadn't had a chance to visit yet was Elm Grove's. Until now.
While we didn't get a chance to order off the menu, we did still get to experience the deliciousness of Undo's.
All starting with the salad full of veggies and pepperoni.
And the cheesy bread and pepperoni rolls. Ohhh my goodness.
I was fortunate to sample meatballs, stuffed shells, alfredo and chicken with vegetables. What's your favorite item?
Glassworks Grill in Wilson Lodge at Oglebay is a relaxed restaurant that serves everything from burgers and salads to pizzas and handhelds.
I went with the firecracker shrimp, which is "Panko Shrimp, Honey Sriracha Sauce, Ginger Soy Salad." Sweet with a touch of spicy!
Oglebay is home to a number of dining facilities, but one that is new to me is Sarita's Coffee Bar.
The coffee bar features coffee drinks, bakery goodies, and other grab & go items. Here's my iced caramel coffee.
Mountaineer Brewfest is a Wheeling beer festival held down near the river.
I didn't have much time, but I wanted to stop by to check it out. With admission, you get a beer stein, a food sample from the local casino and a free-play ticket.
Here's the short rib with cauliflower puree and chips. Yum!
And I got a "Lil Sour B" from Brewstel!
During my Leadership West Virginia session, I was able to check out GrecianFest 2019 in Wheeling.
There was dancing and food and, most importantly, baklava.
Inside the building, there was art and all of the pastries.
I got some Kataifi - honey-soaked fillo.
And baklava and another goody.
Sarah's on Main is a new bakery in Wheeling that is quickly gaining steam.
The local bakery is long and narrow, with small tables lining the length of the shop.
Sarah's on Main features bakery items, breakfast items, as well as coffee drinks.
Plus some daily specials.
The Salty Bread seems to be a house favorite, so I was looking for that when perusing the menu.
This popped out to me: "salty bread breakfast sandwich" - scrambled egg, caramelized onion, crispy bacon & sharp cheddar / served on salty bread or croissant
And a morning bun with a whipped topping. Have you been?
While in Wheeling, my friend Alex introduced me to a new restaurant: Bubba's Gourmet Burghers & Beer.
The restaurant has locations in Bridgeville & Canonsburg, Pa. And, the Highlands in Wheeling.
I went with the "Roasted Garlic Burgher." It has a homemade roasted parmesan sauce, lettuce, tomato and parmesan. When you eat at a Bubba’s Gourmet Burghers and Beer you are eating the best quality Burgher in the surrounding area! We use a proprietary blend of New York Strip, Ribeye, Sirloin and Brisket ground fresh daily which makes this Burgher second-to-none. No steroids, no antibiotics as we only use all natural and fresh beef. The same requirements go for our chicken which you can substitute for our beef if you prefer. We buy fresh and local produce whenever possible and we truly embrace farm to table.
In my neverending quest to visit all of the state's breweries, wineries and distilleries, I have checked another off the list.
Moss Farms Winery & Country Roads Distillery had been on my list for some time because they're in my neck of the woods - Wheeling!
The facility is in a nice, secluded space.
It features a line of wines - Sassy Cat, Sweet White, Strawberry, Sangria, Hulu Dancer, Sweet Red, Chardonnay, Merlot, Riesling, and Fredonia.
And the distillery portion has a number of moonshines.
I had to take home a little of each.
Which is your favorite here?
Miklas Meat Market is a staple in Wheeling
The shop has a selection of meats.
But it also has local products, like coffee.
And general convenience store items you may need.
It took everything in me to not buy that cookbook!
This is a great local shop that I would love to frequent more.
Have you been here?
