Charleston 2 Go has answered my prayers on that last note. Much like the delivery service in Morgantown, this delivery service has partnered with local restaurants to make delivery simple - enter your address, enter a time you want food, and place your order at the available restaurants. I'm optimistic that more options will continue to be added.

I noticed one restaurant on the list I had never been to: Lem's Meat Varnish. Known for their bbq sauce sold commercially, Lem's Meat Varnish also has its own BBQ location in South Charleston. Here's the pulled pork sandwich, smoked mac & cheese, potato salad, cole slaw and a sweet BBQ sauce!

Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse is located on Corridor G, and it seemed like a good option for a Valentine's Day with two of my fav gals: Kayla and Leah.

Hibachi is pretty standard across the board - you know you can get a number of proteins, with a side of vegetables and rice or noodles. Some also offer a sushi menu.

We didn't sit at the grill - teppanyaki - but got a table near the sushi bar instead.

Edamame

House salad with ginger dressing.

Soup

Tornado Roll - avocado, cream cheese, crab on a crispy bed of potato strings

Teriyaki Chicken hibachi with noodles
(Aaaand I just realized I've actually been to this place before. So, consider this an update!)

Harding's Family Restaurant is a homestyle restaurant just off the Mink Shoals exit. It's near a hotel and even is displayed on the travel signs near the exit, so it's popular amongst travelers and sounded good when I was in the mood for some good ol' country cookin.

There's a gift shop that sells some local items, including a specialty salad dressing they use.

Wilted Lettuce Salad - shredded lettuce, cucumber, tomato, green onion and bacon topped with hot Appalachian Mountain Wilted Lettuce Dressing.

Dinner rolls

Roast turkey dinner with stuffing, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes with yellow gravy.

Small caramel sundae

In A Jam is a cool company located out of Parkersburg that makes things like Heirloom Tomato Jam, Pawpaw Butter and Wild Ramp Jelly (and yes, I purchased one of each).

These first popped out at me when they were packaged with some JQ Dickinson gift packs. It wasn't until this story that I realized they are local.
