Brake's Dairy King in Buckhannon combines two of my favorites: hot dogs and ice cream.



Fortunately, I caught this small restaurant as I was heading out of town. It's located along a strip with a few other businesses.



Their signature ice cream, much like DQ's Blizzards, are called Razzles here. And they have a few different flavors.



S'mores Razzle. I feel like graham cracker is the most underrated ice cream ingredient.

The West Virginia hot dog, complete with chili, slaw, mustard and onions. It's on a New England Style bun - which is not sanctioned by those at the WVHD Blog - but it sure does taste good.

The Social Bar & Grilled Cheese is a bar in Buckhannon that doubles as a grilled cheeserie.



This small space serves up a handful of creative grilled cheese sandwiches, like a caprese, pizza, pork rib bbq and funky monkey (with peanut butter, nutella, honey and marshmallow)



The woman working said the jalapeno popper is the most popular. Sold!

Delmonte Market is this cute market that is a great one-stop-shop for gifts, local foods and more.



They have all kinds of local food and goodies available.



And coffee!



These kinds of things are always fun for gifts.





And a whole space dedicated to whimsical outdoor decorations.



And will ya look at that! This will always be surprising and amazing to me.

Duke's Steakhouse is a local institution in Elkins and has been on my list since a friend from the town insisted I make my way there.



When I found myself in the area, I stopped by to treat myself.



The menu features steak but also is known for their filet sandwich. I wanted to start with the steak first to see what we were working with.

The restaurant is traditional and reminds me of those old-school steakhouses that are associated with fancy celebrations in small towns. I'm sure lots of memories have been made here. Have you been?

Bobbie's is a gas station just outside of Elkins in Beverly that also serves as a small restaurant that serves up some really good pepperoni rolls. A while ago, a friend had told me I HAD to try their "ramparoni" rolls. And, now they're in season.



Walking into Bobbie's, there's a counter where folks were dutifully sorting and packaging pepperoni rolls. Others are located in the cooler.



Tons of various pepperoni rolls baked fresh every day sorted into baggies with green tabs.



Bobbies has 11 different kinds of pepperoni rolls: Ramps & hot pepper cheese, ramps & cheddar cheese, nacho cheese, pizza roll, mozzarella, hot pepper cheese, banana peppers, cheddar cheese, cheese & jalapenos, just pepperoni, then there's the "surprise" which is whatever Bobbie feels like making that day. Sometimes she said she could add hot dog chili. On this day, it was extra pepperoni and cheese.
