The Marmet Tudor's Biscuit World was calling my name. As I slowly make my way through all the Kanawha Valley Tudor's locations, Marmet was next on my list.
The drive-thru is my go-to, and my typical order is a sausage biscuit with a chocolate milk.
The key here is to get jelly packs and combine the two when you get home. Mmmm.
Which biscuit is your favorite?

Donut Connection is a chain that has a few locations in the southern part of the state: Charleston, Huntington and Beckley.
I had never tried one until I came to Charleston. Charleston has two: one on MacCorkle Avenue and one on Spring Street. On a free morning, I decided to try the MacCorkle location.
There are nearly 3 dozen different kinds to choose from, with everything from filled donuts and ring donuts to white cake and chocolate cake.
For my half dozen, I ordered:- Charleston delight, which is filled with a vanilla cream and topped with chocolate
- Cherry cake
- Honey dew, which tastes like a sour cream donut
- Peanut butter ice
- Toasted coconut
- Cronut

The Corner Kitchen, located on Bigley Avenue, serves up a few rotating dishes each day available for delivery or carry-out.
Some days, it may be spaghetti. Other days, it may be chicken & dumplings. They do have a few regulars every day: hot dogs, pulled pork BBQ, bologna, etc.
I've been curious about this place since I drove past it, and when I checked the website after work, I saw they had meatloaf as a special that day. That's one of my favvvvs.
Meatloaf with a sweet tomato sauce, scalloped potatoes and green beans. Plus a roll! Have you tried it?
On my venture to figure out which Mexican restaurant in the Kanawha Valley is my favorite, I tried out Casa Garcia with Dawn on Cinco de Mayo.
Located in the Riverwalk Plaza, the parking lot is busy. But I feel like that's a good sign.
After a few moments, we were seated. First order of business? Margs.
Second? Queso.
These two things alone are typically enough to brighten up any day. But, I didn't stop there, of course.
For my main meal, I ordered the Special Burrito, which had chicken, peppers, onions and topped with queso and ranchero sauce.
And dessert? Fried ice cream, always.
What's your favorite dish?
