I've been making my way through the state parks in West Virginia, and it's always exciting when they have restaurants.

North Bend State Park has lots of hiking trails, streams and more in a beautiful setting.

The restaurant is simple, seat yourself with lots of beautiful lighting.

The dinner menu is straightforward with a few really unique items.

Since when I travel, I usually try a few little things at a bunch of places, I didn't want a huge dinner.

But first, warm bread.

Then, an interesting take on bruschetta with capers, tons of melted mozzarella, tomatoes, garlic and red onions.

Chicken corn chowder!

Also, on this day, I got to see the Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park!

I took a tour of the mansion.

And rode around on the property with these beautiful guys! Such a fun day.
