Let's add one more DiCarlo's location to the list.
For those who know me, you know I love DiCarlo's.
This Ohio Valley pizza shop franchise has my favorite type of pizza - square with fresh cheese lightly melted overtop - and each location has a slightly different variation.
And now that I've tried all the West Virginia locations, I've started visiting the Ohio locations.
Belmont, Ohio, has a large DiCarlo's space with a few tables in their dining space.
I ordered two pieces with mushrooms.
The first thing I noticed is that they use the shredded mozzarella cheese - which is good, but not my favorite version.
Have you tried this one?
There's a pizza shop in Montgomery called Frank's Pizza.
This pizza shop is pretty straightforward and has been around for quite some time.
I called in an order for a calzone with cheese, sauce and mushrooms.
And, once I arrived, I saw a few locals enjoying meals at the standard diner chairs. I took my calzone home to enjoy.

Now that I've conquered all of the DiCarlo's within West Virginia, I'm starting to branch out into Pennsylvania and Ohio.
And a very convenient location for me is the Washington, PA, DiCarlo's.
This location is on the path between Morgantown and Wellsburg - an area that I often travel.
So I called in an order of two pieces of pizza with mushrooms.
It was so, so warm inside that I broke a sweat just waiting for the few minutes I was there.
But I did get to see they had pepperoni rolls prepared so I purchased one of those, too.
This was a really nice rendition of a DiCarlo's slice. It's my favorite kind of cheese - the little bits, instead of shreds. Mmm.
The pepperoni roll is large and in charge - plus a side of marinara.
Pink Door Pizza in Moundsville was recommended to me as one of the best pepperoni rolls in the area.
Located downtown, the restaurant serves up pizzas, as well as pasta, salads, fried apps, and desserts.
I put in an order for a half dozen pepperoni rolls (the smallest order) and hung out til they were ready. There is a good bit of seating for folks who would like to dine in.
Once my pepperoni rolls were ready, I took the box and continued on my drive, popping them in my mouth along the way.
These rolls were piping hot little buns. They had slices of pepperoni with stringy mozzarella stuffed inside. Plus a side of marinara.

I would argue there are very few restaurants in Wet Virginia who can compete with a view like the Front Porch Restaurant has.
Perched across from Seneca Rocks, this restaurant has, quite literally, a front porch view of one of the most beautiful landmarks in the state.
The menu features pizzas, subs, and other dinner plates. They are known for their pizzas, so I ordered one with my favorite: mushrooms.
And for dessert, I went with a lemon creme pie!
Yummy.
It's part of Harpers General Store, which has a little bit of everything. And, next door, there's Yokum's Store & Motel which has its own goodies to eat. I purchased some peanut butter fudge here.
The Barboursville Mall is full of food options, from Chick-fil-A to rolled ice cream.
I recently went to do some shopping, and while there, I grabbed a bite to eat.
Cosimos Pizza is a pizza shop that has a number of pizzas available, as well as baked rolls, salads, pasta, and subs.
I ordered a pepperoni roll and a side of pasta salad. It hit the spot. The pepperoni roll had a nice crisp crust on the bottom with tons of oozing cheese. A side of marinara for dipping. And, pasta salad is always one of my favorites.
Perhaps the most popular DiCarlo's location is no longer a DiCarlo's.
The Elm Grove DiCarlo's is now named Patsy's Pizza, to pay homage to the longtime owner.
It's the same pizza - just a new name.
And, I do think it's one of the best (second only to Wellsburg's). It's old school - call in to place your order and get a ticket number, then when you go, you will still wait a while til your ticket is called. No checks or cards. Just pizza. But the best pizza you'll ever taste.
