Rogers and Mazza's is a well-known bakery that took over Marty's Bakery in Clarksburg. They sell a traditional pepperoni roll with harder Italian bread and stick pepperoni that Marty's used to sell, but they also have their own pepperoni roll - the Rogers and Mazza's pepperoni roll is a bit different.
Rogers and Mazza's pepperoni roll is made with a sweeter dough and sliced pepperoni and comes in three different varieties: plain, mozzarella or hot pepper cheese. These can each come in six ounces or three ounces. They also produce mini pepperoni rolls with plain or mozzarella cheese.

I loved these mini ones and dipped them in a sweet pepper sauce they sold. Delicious.

Abruzzino's Italian Bread is a bakery located in Gypsy and offers a few different kinds of pepperoni rolls: a plain pepperoni roll, a pepperoni roll
with yellow American cheese and a hot pepper cheese pepperoni roll in two
sizes - three ounces and six ounces.
They also have bread, pizza shells and more. But I was mostly interested in the pepperoni rolls. They have sliced pepperoni, and they're large pepperoni rolls.
These are pretty good rolls, and I've had my share at this point. Some nice melty cheese surrounded with pieces of pepperoni. Very good.Grade: A

I'm really excited about the Morgantown Farmer's Market starting back up. One of my favorites is Mockingbird Hill's very berry granola. Mockingbird Farm is just one of the vendors at the market, and they mainly grow peppers, some zucchini, tomatoes, squash, flowers, etc.
My friend Lisa, who used to be the market manager, gave me a little intel. She said the couple grows a variety of things and are always experimenting since they have a small farm and grow using Biodynamic principles. It is a French-based growing principle meaning growing a bunch of stuff in a small space (so you have to add lots of nutrients to the soil).
I hope to chat a little about the market vendors individually here soon, but Mockingbird Hill had to be one of my firsts. What have you all bought from them or what is your fave?

The second-closest DiCarlo's to my home is the Follansbee location. Located in Hooverson Heights, DiCarlo's is open daily and serves the pizza I love so much, as well as oven-baked hoagies, calzones, wings, pepperoni rolls, and specialty pizzas (like buffalo and white).
This location has pieces for just .90. I ordered 5 regular for me and 5 without pepperoni for my parents. I waited for maybe a half hour or so, as there were a few people in front of me. And those poor workers must be dying because it was blazing in there.
But it was all worth it when I was handed a square box full of Italian gold. When I got home and opened the box, the shreds of cheese had melted from the steamed box. One of the best parts about DiCarlo's Pizza is the cold provolone atop the hot sauced pizza. But if you wait too long, it melts just like the other regular plebe pizzas.
I noticed there is a good bit less cheese on these cuts than some of the other DiCarlo's locations. But it was enough.
The sauce was not quite as flavorful as, say, Wellsburg's. It's still delicious, but if I have to compare to other locations, I think it could use a little more seasoning.
The crust was thin and crisper. Other locations tend to be thicker, but this one was definitely on the thinner side.
It's no secret I love DiCarlo's Pizza, and Follansbee's location is no different. Is it my preferred? No. It isn't as good as Wellsburg's, but it is close and has better hours. And, nothing beats DiCarlo's - except the Wellsburg DiCarlo's.
