The Char is Beckley's premier fine dining restaurant, and I was so excited to finally check it out.
The interior is elegant and special. And, there's a nice view of the pond from the floor to ceiling windows.
The menu features some really unique options.
But, first, house salad!
And the dish that stood out to me was the "Authentic Italian Stuffed Brascioli."
A brascioli here is essentially rolled meat with a sauce.
Tasty! And unique!
Plus hot fudge cake for dessert! What's your favorite?

Padrino's is an Italian restaurant in Beckley, which is well-known for its delicious entrees in the heart of southern West Virginia.
The menu features things like calzones, pizzas, baked entrees, and other dinner specials.

I went for the penne alla vodka, which is served with bacon, onion and a vodka cream sauce. MMmm.

But, first, garlic bread!
Have you been? What's your favorite dish?

I recently discovered Candies by Linda at Tamarack and got real excited when I saw they were made in Buckhannon.

Anything that is edible and in the shape of WV makes me happy.

And there are a ton of different options!

I tried both a chocolate pop and one of these really colorful gummy sticks!

Have you tried?

Hudson Farms has hosted farm-to-table dinners for quite some time, so I was excited to see them advertise one that I was able to attend!

It's located in the outer countryside of Charleston. It was a beautiful drive (without cell phone service!).

Our tables had local seasoning available.

And beautiful flowers.

Our first course was a local roasted vegetable dish with corn, potatoes and green beans.
Then we had a gazpacho -- or maybe that was first.
Delicious homemade lemonade!
And the entree was a molasses chicken with carrots. Delish!
The creme brulee had blueberries. Wow!Have you been to Hudson Farms?
