While driving back from an event, I stopped in Elkins to fuel up - for both the car and myself.

While there are some real tasty options here, I was looking for quick, too.

New China Cook Restaurant is a Chinese buffet that seemed to be the hottest spot for a weekday lunch.

Some of the favorites that I went for included stuffed mushrooms, honey chicken, crab cheese rangoons and more.

I'm told the soups were also top-notch.

Have you ever been?

Snowshoe is unique in that most resorts have you ski to the bottom, and that's where the lodge is. Here, the lodge is at the top of the mountain, and you ski downward.

And, at the bottom of the hill, there's a restaurant called The Boathouse.

This place has outdoor dining that overlooks Shavers Lake, so it's great in the warmer months.

While here, I stopped for some ice cream. Bunny Tracks, that is.

I will follow DiCarlo's Pizza wherever it goes - even if it's to South Carolina.

I've made my way to all the West Virginia locations, and I'm slowly venturing outside the state, too.

While in the area, I stopped at the Myrtle Beach location.

The cheese melted super quickly, and it was a bit different - but still tasty.

When you're at the top of a mountain in winter, what do you want?

Hot chocolate maybe? Warm blankets?

Or, how about a margarita and tacos?

Snowshoe may have been reading our minds because they recently opened Sunset Cantina.

They have a variety of flavored margaritas, and I went with a peach one.

Then, we had salsa, queso and guacamole.

And, I also got a burrito: Burrito - Your choice of protein with chipotle black beans, cilantro rice, vegetables, wrapped in a flour tortilla and topped with queso with smoked pork carnitas.
