Snowshoe is unique in that most resorts have you ski to the bottom, and that's where the lodge is. Here, the lodge is at the top of the mountain, and you ski downward.
And, at the bottom of the hill, there's a restaurant called The Boathouse.
This place has outdoor dining that overlooks Shavers Lake, so it's great in the warmer months.
While here, I stopped for some ice cream. Bunny Tracks, that is.
When you're at the top of a mountain in winter, what do you want?
Hot chocolate maybe? Warm blankets?
Or, how about a margarita and tacos?
Snowshoe may have been reading our minds because they recently opened Sunset Cantina.
They have a variety of flavored margaritas, and I went with a peach one.
Then, we had salsa, queso and guacamole.
And, I also got a burrito: Burrito - Your choice of protein with chipotle black beans, cilantro rice, vegetables,
wrapped in a flour tortilla and topped with queso with smoked pork carnitas.
