One of the restaurants at the very top of my West Virginia wishlist has been Prime 44 West.



Located in The Greenbrier, it's certainly a "special occasion" restaurant on my budget.



It is Jerry West-themed and even features some of his memorabilia.



I recently splurged so I could try the place that was featured on "Best Thing I Ever Ate."



The restaurant is elegant, with a touch of sports bar - in the best way.

The restaurant is known for its steak, and I knew I wanted the potatoes, so it made for an easy decision.



But, first, bread! Including the cornbread from First Lady Cathy Justice.



Here are those famous lobster mashed potatoes!

Rolls on the River, which is a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central West Virginia, pairs together local pepperoni rolls and craft beer.

This year, there were seven pepperoni roll vendors:

• A Step in Time
• Home Industry Bakery
• Piggly Wiggly
• Kroger
• Pepperoni Grill
• Mountain Pie
• Swiftwater Cafe

Mountain Pie was one of my favorites, with some nice parmesan on top and a side of dipping sauce, too.

A Step In Time came all the way from Harpers Ferry bringing their Mama Jo's Pepperoni Rolls! So delicious.

Pepperoni Grill has a deliciously cheesy, savory roll. Plus two sauces - marinara or pizza!

Swiftwater Cafe has a delicious roll, which is a go-to for roadtrips!




And, look at these super cute cookies Sugar Momma Sweets made for the event!

There are so many cute little shops in The Greenbrier.



And, I wanted to make a point to hit them all up.



Greenbrier Gourmet has fresh coffee and lots of little bites!



Mmm coffee.



Snacks, too!



Coffee was necessary.



And maybe a pistachio and strawberry macaron!
