Pressed Coffee House is a new-ish coffee shop in St. Marys that offers everything from create-your-own cold brew and smoothies to chai and lattes.

On this particular day, they had a little pop up with Rollin' In The Dough, so I was excited to try two local businesses all in one place.

The shop is small, but cute. The counter has beautiful subway tile and a wooden top. Green plants dot the space. The menu isn't huge, but it's fairly customizable. I went with a s'mores latte, because of course I did. Chocolate, Toasted Marshmallows, and a hint of Cinnamon - classic flavors. I also ordered a banana nut muffin so I could try one of their own baked goods. All in all, it was a lovely little breakfast. And helps fulfill a need in this area.

The pop-up shop for cookies was also nice. I ordered a cookie there, and it was decorated beautifully and typical of the harder sugar cookies that are presented beautifully.

Finally, I took my goodies will me on a slow drive to Middle Island to take in the sights and see what animals I could spot!

Have you been to any of these places?

St. Marys has this absolutely adorable ice cream truck, which churns out ice cream, as well as coffee, cookies and other goodies.
Scoops features some unique flavors like Lemon Crunch and Blueberry Pomegranate.
So, of course I had to try both of those. Wow!
St. Marys has a restaurant that has been on my to-try list for a long time: The Boxcar.
This local establishment serves breakfast, lunch and dinner - so the menu changes up.
I was there for dinner so I had some hearty, tasty dishes to choose from.
The one that easily caught my eye was Lobster Ravioli - lobster tail in brown butter sauce, baby spinach and 5-cheese ravioli. It's just so rich and indulgent and comforting.
Have you ever been?
St. Mary's is home to an old-fashioned candy company: Smith Candy. And, while there's no longer a storefront, you find their candy in places like Tamarack!
I got a watermelon rock candy flavor. Have you tried?
There are a few pizza places around the state that have a local following. Of course, I'm partial to DiCarlo's in the Northern Panhandle. Then, there's The Pizza Place in Parkersburg. Pies & Pints in Fayetteville. Sirianni's in Davis. Backyard Pizza in Huntington. And, St. Mary's has The Pizza Station.
The Pizza Station opened in 1984 and has been expanding ever since. I had called in a personal pan pizza for the ride home. Bring CASH. When I showed up, the assembly line of pizza makers had it ready to go, and I was quickly on my way back home.
This pizza is very good. A night, light buttery crust with a slightly sweet sauce and a good portion of cheese. Count me in, St. Mary's. I'm a fan.Grade: A
