Brew Pub Bruceton Mills: Spent Grain Cafe 10:00 AM I've been to Screech Owl Brewing many moons ago. Since my last visit, they expanded to include a restaurant. That restaurant is called Spent Grain Cafe. It's such a neat concept that they're using spent grain from brewing for their pizzas and sandwiches - and pepperoni rolls! Of course, their main star here is the beer. So, we ordered a sampler to try a bit of everything. I couldn't get enough of the Wild & Wonderful Strawberry Ale. We tried a pizza - and it's neat that the crust is almost a little sweet. And the pepperoni roll! We ended up getting them to go, but they were fresh and warm. This is definitely one of the more unique pepperoni rolls I've had! Have you been here yet? 0 Comments Share:
Morgantown Morgantown Edition: Clutch Wings 10:00 AM I've, of course, had Clutch Wings before. But, they recently made the move to High Street, so I thought I'd stop by to check it out. One cool thing about this is that they now have dine-in space. I ordered six boneless sweet honey wings. And a Kool-aid! The wings are more like chicken tenders that have been sliced up. Morgantown Saute by Rene 10:00 AM At the Handcrafted Cooperative in Morgantown, I saw Saute by Rene set up! I've been wanting to try her food for some time, so I was excited to check out her booth. I went for a pork empanada! Have you tried these empanadas? 0 Comments Share:
Bakery Honeycomb Baking 10:00 AM While in Morgantown at the Handcrafted Cooperative, I stopped by Honeycomb Baking. I had followed them on Instagram for quite some time, so I made a beeline over to their booth. They have a ton of cute cookies - like the bears ones above. And you could mix and match different kinds of fun sugar cookies. I ended up snagging a cute pumpkin cookie that had sparkles on it. And this cute little chocolate cake pop reminiscent of Starbucks frappuccinos. What's your favorite? 0 Comments Share:
Breakfast Morgantown Edition: The Greeks - bagels 10:00 AM The Greeks continues to be an evolving location. The front is dedicated to Greek food. And previously, the back part was dedicated to crepes. However, now, they've transitioned to bagels. I went for an Asiago bagel with salmon, cream cheese, capers and red onion. But they have many other options if that's not your style - cold sandwiches, coffees, etc. But, this was the perfect way to start my day. And parking is easy! Park in the garage and they'll give you a coin to exit for free! 0 Comments Share:
