High Ground Brewing is a new brewery in Preston County that is kind of like an adult playground.

When we pulled up to the Terra Alta brewery to see an outdoor area with cornhole, a food vendor, picnic tables, and the indoor/outdoor brewery area.

We had a long day ahead of us, but I wanted to get a taste of what they have to offer. So I ordered a small glass of Round Bale Saison.

And, boy was it good!

Only wish I had more time to try more of them.

But while there, I also got a snack from Sophie's Serendipity.

One hot dog, some macaroni salad and a slice of watermelon.

That's just the perfect combo for an outdoor drink.

Have you been yet?

A flight is a magical thing. Get a sample of a few different things. And at The Hop Ice Cream Cafe, they have ICE CREAM FLIGHTS. This is not a drill.

On this visit, they had a unique set of ice cream choices. It was "farmers market" themed.

So I went with blueberry kale, orange lemon goat cheese, garlic caramel and strawberry apple cider sorbet. Definitely an interesting combo.

While in Asheville, I was lucky enough to catch the last tour for the day at Sierra Nevada.

We went to the brewery to try a beer before the tour started.

Sierra Nevada is super cool because it's often one of the first craft beers that a person has.

The pale ale is often the beer that gets people into craft beer.

So, I'll stop rambling now and let you check out some of the photos!

Not too long ago, I saw "MannCave Moonshine" in a local store. I saw it was created in West Virginia, so I put it on my list to try as soon as I could.

The Lewis County distillery actually makes three products: whiskey, moonshine and vodka.

And Lisa and I were lucky enough to take a quick tour around the facility to learn more.

Here are some shots from our adventure:
