Any time there's a new coffee shop in West Virginia, I get excited.

It doesn't matter where it is, I'm going to make a trip to get there.

Recently, I stopped by Stonewall Coffee in Clarksburg.

It's this really cool spot in downtown Clarksburg that's almost a bit hidden.

There were a ton of great options to choose from, but I went with the namesake - Stonewall Mocha.

This drink has white chocolate, swirls of caramel, steamed milk and espresso. I got it iced.

Plus there were pastries!

I went with a blueberry muffin! Can never go wrong there.

If there's one thing the south does well, it's biscuits.

And there are entire restaurants dedicated to the art of the biscuit, like Biscuit Head.

Dawn and I arrived here fairly early before they opened, but there was already a line. We waited in line for a bit and finally made our way to the front.

I went with The Asheville Benedict - an open-faced biscuit topped with charred scallion cream cheese, fresh tomatoes, two poached eggs, hollandaise, roasted red peppers, and a tossed kale salad.

There were a ton of jams and jellies available to use. So cool!

Despite it being a homestyle meal, it was refreshing with the salad and side of fruit.

Have you been here?

At the end of summer, I made my way to Tygart Lake State Park to ride the Princess Cruise on the lake.

It was so fun!

And, I learned a lot about the area.

And, when it as over, I went to The Lodge for a bite to eat.

I started with a house salad with French dressing. It was filled with carrots, red onion, cucumbers and tomatoes.

And then for my main meal, I had fried crab cakes and mashed potatoes. Talk about comfort food. I've never seen crab cakes balled up like this before, but they sure were tasty.

Have you been?

I love drive-in theaters.

Just before summer ended, I was able to get to the Sunset Drive-In Theater in Shinnston.

In fact, we were a bit early, so we stopped by the adjoining Sunset Ellis Restaurant for a bite to eat before the movie started.

The restaurant has breakfast, homestyle favorites, sandwiches, pasta and even seafood.

The thing that caught my eye was the little sticky note up in the corner that said rigatoni with salad. Sign me up!

I opted for a house salad, which came with a few hunks of tomato and my choice of French dressing.

And then my rigatoni - look at these little rigatonis! They're stout. I've never seen this shape before, but I thought it was adorable.

And we had a great setup for the movie - and I got more concessions there (just popcorn and milk duds)

Fit for a queen.
