"The Cameron Grand Canyon dining room is a generous expanse dominated by its large stone fireplace flanked by tall picture windows. The vast ceiling of pressed tin presides over diners as they enjoy their meals and the view of the Little Colorado River Gorge. Native American weavings, basketry, carvings, and Southwestern art are displayed along the walls between the antique cabinetry and stained glass that once served as an apothecary nearly a century ago," according to the website.

I stopped at this trading post along my journey out West, did some shopping and settled in for lunch.

"The menu at Cameron Trading Post’s restaurant is a pleasant mingling of American, Mexican, and local cuisine. While you will find all your traditional favorites, you can also enjoy a more adventurous culinary experience. Our famous Navajo taco for instance, served breakfast lunch, and dinner. Navajo fry bread, a fresh, springy bread that is patted flat and deep fried to a golden brown, smothered with a spicy combination of ground beef and beans, and topped with chopped green chile, fresh lettuce and tomato, and tangy cheddar cheese," according to the website.

I ordered the Arizona-style eggrolls, which are hicken eggrolls stuffed with black beans, corn, picante peppers and melted cheese. Served with a light and tangy dipping sauce. Plus a side of potato salad. yes, I know these don't go together. But I just wanted both.

Both of these were good, not great. A nice fry on the rolls; I would've loved a berry dipping sauce to bring in more sweetness and local influence. The potato salad was decent, too, just a touch more salt.
