Another little gem in Pike Place Market is Piroshky Piroshky Bakery.

These handcrafted Russian pastries draw a crowd, and for good reason.

The bakery has sweet, meat and vegetable piroshky. Some sell out super quickly (like the smoked salmon pate), but we all know I have a sweet tooth anyway. 

So, I ordered the "Oscar's Star," which is a delicious buttery dough topped with chocolate, sweet cream cheese and sprinkled with hazelnuts.

Pairing this sweet piece of heaven with a coffee was all I needed to make for a perfect morning. Sweet, creamy and a perfectly chewy pastry.
